“The Next Chapter”

Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. Screenings of TED Talks discussing ‘The Next Chapter’ will be broadcast in the Barrett Suite (UCB 201).

What is TEDxBHCWest?

TEDx events are held by independent organizations that receive special licenses from TED to hold free screenings and talks. TEDxBHCWest is the hosting of one such screening on Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 from 9:00am until 8:45pm in the Barrett Suite (UCB 201). This year, TEDxBHCWest is hosting the live stream of three TED sessions: Retrospect, Reshape, Wish. In addition, this local event will feature several live panel discussions for ‘The Next Chapter’ of ASU West.


Now, what is TED?

TED (Technology, Entertainment & Design) is a nonprofit that hosts conferences where individuals from all industries and backgrounds meet to discuss ideas worth sharing. The free talks range in topic from social issues, to developing technologies to questioning what it means to be human. Want an example? Here’s a talk on the topic of creativity… TEDxLive events are TEDx events built around the live webcast of TED Conferences, enabling TED enthusiasts all over the world to experience live sessions of the TED Conference. Events can be simple viewing events, and may also host live speakers.
